My bowling experience.

I was invited to a bowling place for someone’s birthday. We had a full two hours to play. First we put on some “bowling shoes” so we wouldn’t slip. We registered our names on a screen, which showed us our points. We took turns trying to knock down the pins. Later on I saw a mother and a young kid come to bowl. First they chose their balls and registered their names on the screen. But they didn’t know how to start it. There were no pins behind the block. (The block is in place when some pins are knocked down and the machine is putting the pins back for the next player.)(It is a bar in front of the pins when it is not ready)

We didn’t know how to start it either when we came. All you have to do is push the “Reset” button. When it is pressed, all pins are put in place and then the block lifts up. The mother went to the help desk while I secretly sneaked over and pressed the “Reset” button. Suddenly all the pins were ready. I said to the kid, “Its all ready, you can bowl now.”

The kid answered, “I am waiting for my mother.” When the mother came back, she found out it was all ready. On our last game, a group of kids and adults started playing on the bowling alley beside ours.

There were about 5 kids and 2 adults. They all registered their names on the screen. I started the game for them too. I pressed the “Reset” button for them when they were not looking. Then I sneakily got beside their “Reset” button. They didn’t know it was there. It was a small gray button on the side of the ball machine. (The ball machine sends the balls you bowled back to you.) I stood beside it covering it with my legs. Then I added pressure to my legs, allowing my legs to press the button. The adults were like, “Huh what’s going on?”

By pressing the button again, the block clears the pins and puts new ones in place. Then a little kid rolled the ball, he missed and the ball went to the side (Gutter). One of my friends went far near the pins and pushed the ball in toward the pins. But other little kids rolled the ball at the gutters again. They didn’t have enough power so the ball didn’t go in the hole (The opening at the end of the alley where the pins are). Normally, even if you rolled the ball into the gutters, it would still roll into the hole.

The gutters lead into the hole. The next child in line rolled the ball. The ball managed to push the ball that was in the gutters, into the hole. Then I went close to the “Reset” button again. I put my leg over it. Some kid rolled the ball. While the ball was rolling, I pressed the “Reset” button with my leg. The ball was coming towards the pins when suddenly, the block came down and the ball was stopped.

The kids and adults were like, “What? Something must be wrong with the machine!” To them they must of thought it wasn’t letting them score by blocking the ball in front of the pins. It was so funny! They were confused and they didn’t even think or know someone was pressing the “Reset” button.
