A short story I randomly wrote after I watched Pirates of the Carribean.
One day a hopeless purple monkey, relative to Barbossa’s monkey Jack, named Brace was sailng the Seven Seas with her dying owner.
One day the owner was manning the tiller (IDK, a random pirate phrase:D) and collapsed. His last words to Brace were,
“I love you and you will find a better owner, one who is a better owner than I ever was.”
And with that, he died. Little Brace could only bring their feeble little deteriorating ship to a dock in the Indian Ocean near Madagascar.
There, the little monkey, having no place to go, snuck on a ship called the Black Sky. She hid in an open trunk filled with women’s pirate clothes. She then fell asleep munching on salted peanuts from a nearby coat pocket.
Later that night, the trunk was opened by its owner and revealed the tired, disheveled Brace.
The little monkey looked up at the person’s face. What she saw first not the nose or lips, but the gleam in the eyes, indicating a mixture of happiness, glee, and admiration.
“Well how did you get in here little monkey?”
Brace knew how to write English language , so she grabbed a nearby piece of parchment and scribbled out what had happened.
“Well aren’t you a smart little monkey?” She smiled.”Would you like to stay with me?”
The monkey, now filled with excitement, nodded vigorously.
“Now, what’s your name?” She asked.
“Brace,” the monkey wrote. “I am a descendant of Jack Barbossa, Captain Barbossa’s monkey.”
“Well Brace, welcome to the Black Sky. I’m your captain, Asia Erin Ricciano (sorry if spelled wrong AsiaSky!). But you can call me Asia.”
Their friendship was on a great start and is stil continuing strong. Not only was Brace immediately aprt of the crew, Asia was an excellent owner. She always let Brace eat her salted peanuts. Asia not only touched Brace’s heart in a dramatic way, Brace touched Asia’s heart also.
