My teacher gave this to me as an english assignment.

One week, she is stalked by a mysterious man and he could be the key for getting into the barriers that she holds up around her. Will she find out the truth behind her “speciality” and will he be able to get her to open up? Find out more by reading on…
The Laboratory
Chapter 1- Unexpected Beginnings
“STOP!” someone from behind me suddenly screamed whiles I was running towards a bunch of more trees. As I was turning around to see who it was BAM! I ran into a big, technical looking machine. I stood there puzzled and what it could be but before I could study it anymore I fell to the ground.
“KIMIMELA” The same voice screamed again but sounded worried.
“What did he just say?” I questioned in my head.
No one other than my parents or friends knew my full name. I know what you’re thinking why would anyone name their child ‘Kimimela’? Well, my parents (or at least my real parents) were from a Native American tribe called Sioux. The name Kimimela is supposed to mean butterfly. And why butterfly you ask? For many useless reasons, some being that it associates with the soul and means naturalness, purity, freedom, blah blah blah. It’s all rubbish to me. I couldn’t care less why my biological parents gave me such a horrible name. All I know about them is they left me at random persons door, in the middle of the night, with nothing but a blanket and a note attached to me saying “Please take care of our beloved daughter. You know why.” That’s it nothing else written on it. Not a name or thank you or even a proper explanation. I had found my baby blanket and note when I was 13 and asked Aden and Leah (my adoptive parents who I have always considered my true mom and dad but they insisted I call them by there first name for reasons unknown) why my biological parents had gave me up, but they only said that they had no idea why the note had said that and that they only reason they knew about my name is because when they found me, I had a deep blue chocker necklace (which looked more like a collar if you ask me) that had a yellow circle slightly hanging off it and had a symbol of a butterfly engraved on the front and on the back it read
“KIMIMELA- BUTTERFLY
There is a Native American legend that says “if you have a secret wish, capture a butterfly and whisper your wish to it. Since butterflies cannot speak, your secret is ever safe in their keeping. Release the butterfly, and it will carry your wish to the Great Spirit, who alone knows the thoughts of butterflies. By setting the butterfly free, you are helping to restore the balance of nature, and your wish will surely be granted.””
