The life of twins trying to make it.

After her dance, Riza spotted Essence sitting quietly looking at the other dancers that came onstage.  Riza walked over casually and introduced herself to Essence.  Essence smiled on the outside, but on the inside, she didn’t have time to be bothered.  Riza found this brown skinned femme fatale sexy as hell, and invited herself to sit down by Essence.  Essence was kind enough to speak while she waited for her sister to come back onstage.  She and Isis knew each other’s secrets and felt the same thing.  Essence had a bad vibe about Riza, but she couldn’t put her finger on what that feeling was.
“You know, as fine as you are, you ought to think about joining the girls,” Riza said.
“My sister told me about this club and she too is trying to get me to do this.”  Essence responded.
“Oh really,” Riza looked around to see if she could see any similarities to the beautiful face she was staring at.  “So who you belong to up in this piece?”
Essence refuse to answer because she just didn’t like the way Riza came at her.  Essence straightened up her posture, cleared her throat and lean to the side.  Riza didn’t understand why Essence was being so cold to her when all she wanted to do was be nice to her.  Riza was determined to break through this ice cold box that sat next to her in whom she found so attractive.  Riza sat quietly and waited for Essence to say something to her.  She was hoping that she could make Essence uncomfortable enough to just scream out and say “leave me alone,” but Essence never said a word as far as wanting Riza to leave.  As quiet as she sat, obviously Essence wanted the company.  Secretly, Essence found Riza cute.
“Isis is my sister.  I’m here with her.”  Essence looked Riza’s way and they both tilted their heads back and burst out with laughter.
“Hell girl! I thought you were going to kick my ass in a few minutes.”  Riza said in relief.  “So, are you going to get a job here?  We do need some fresh blood in the joint, and you really look like you can tear up this place.”  Riza gave her the eye.
“I do like the place. . .” Essence stopped in mid sentence.  “What do I need to do?”
“I’ll talk to the boss and let him know who you belong to; he’ll easily put you on.  If you asked me, your sister is the best up here.  These other bitches don’t want to work.”  Riza walked off to talk to the boss.
Essence watched Riza walk off as her sister approached the table where Essence was sitting.  Isis pulled the seat out and dropped down in the chair as if she was exhausted.
“I see you’ve met Riza.”  Essence said taking a drink from her sister glass.
     “Uh-huh.”  Essence response was short.
Isis dared not pry into her mind at that point.  Of course she already knew what Essence was thinking and Isis didn’t seem to mind what she was going to do.
