Chapter #3.
-The boys were hunkered down for the night and decided to set up their sleeping courters close to the wood stove. It was time to dry out and get warm once again. They cooked a few things they had brought with them for the night on the old wood stove and it did very well at the job. After filling their belly’s much deserving of a warm meal they went into story telling mode. There is this story that kinda comes alive when your staying at the cabin in the valley in the deep woods. It is the story of “The Great Gongolio”. It is a story that started way back in the days when these boys were young and they had built this cabin with their aunts, uncles, parents and grandparents. You see the great gongolio is a fairy tale started in the wine drinking days of the cabin build. A few of the older grand-kids got their hands on a book that taught them how to make homemade wine and so they did just that using a gallon jug and some fresh wild grapes and sugar. It wasn’t very tasty but it sure had a pungent odor. The grand-kids snook off into the forest and drank their homemade brew. That is when the great gongolio stories came about. Ever since the great gongolio is like the ghost of the cabins past. So the stories went on for a while while they were getting ready for bed and then one of them says to another one with a really serious look on his face. I’m not staying here, something isn’t right, I’m telling you I’m not staying here and if you guys are gonna stay here you better pray before you go to bed. “What” one of the other boys says “your crazy” why would we leave now the storm outside is picking up and it’s nice and warm in here now. Well I’m going back he says, there’s something out there and it’s watching us right now! I can feel it, it knows were here. Well if it knows were here how are we gonna get back the other one announces. I’m making a run for it “screw it”, me too says another one I’m not staying here if I don’t have back up. Kinda sketchy all of them pack their bags quick pick things up get dressed and out the door they go into the dark night. “For the hills we go”!
