Justin Suen wrote this. It is about a guy running through jungle.
Panting was all I heard in this jungle of dead silence, beads of sweat rolled off my face and onto the ground as I heard footsteps racing on the wet marshy grounds of the jungle when suddenly I tripped over a root sticking out of the ground and as I fell I heard the sound of death, I knew it was coming, it was the stalker. I didn’t know which direction it was coming from and I didn’t know where to run or where to hide, so I just stood there looking around in fear, fear of dying, fear of being killed, fear of failing to save my friends life. I knew I couldn’t just stand there I knew that I had to do something, standing there wasn’t going to help so I continued down the narrow path, tired, exhausted, hungry, and scared. As I ran down I heard something behind me and it kept getting louder and louder, I knew I had to keep going, I knew my friends life depended on me, I knew I had to make it out of this jungle alive. The sound kept getting louder and louder I didn’t know what was going to happen to me but I just had to push on and keep running in the same direction without hesitation. There I saw it, my friend on the ground wounded, bleeding, lying there helpless waiting for someone to help him, or something to finish him.
I rushed over to him and asked “Are you okay?! What happened to you I thought you were a goner.
“Yeah man I’m okay but it could be worse, I mean at least I didn’t die jumping off this cliff.”
I looked around to see if there was any shelter nearby and I saw an old tree with a large hole in it. I dragged my friend over put him against the wall, looked outside and heard the noise again, the noise of death. I knew it was near, I knew we were dead if we made any noise. I went back into the tree and blocked the entrance of the tree with some branches around the tree and sat there with my friend waiting to see what would happen. Then suddenly I heard something behind the tree walking back and forth breaking little twigs as we sat there, waiting for something to happen. We held our breath as it kept getting closer and closer, when all of a sudden it disappeared. Once we heard it leave we could finally breathe, when suddenly it came back, it was staring right into the tree with blood shot eyes glaring right at us. We knew we were dead, there was no way out so we sat there praying it wouldn’t notice us sitting there. Once again we held our breath, and when it finally left we sat there for a while still holding our breaths just making sure that it wouldn’t come back. After waiting for a while we could finally relax. We didn’t know what was going to happen to us but all I wanted to do was to go home.
