About a family with a new problem on their hands.

Micheal woke up from a bad dream again. Seems like these days have grown darker. Wipes the usual cold sweat on his brow and gets up to use the rest room. The hallway leading to the rest room is unusually darker and he starts to feel sick. Micheal finally makes it and starts to use the rest room and for reasons unknown looks out of the window. At that instance he sees a dark figure looking from the darkness at him and Micheals whole body shakes with fright. The creature jumps into the bath room and pins him on the floor. Screaming. Gasping for air. Choking. Dying. Micheal wakes up now.

It’s morning and another day means another day of college. Consentration at school seems almost impossible lately because it’s been so soon. The flashbacks only bring pain and devastation. But he’s not alone. The whole family has suffered greatly.

Bianca can’t shake the feeling some one is right behind her. Even when awake she feels a cold touch on her shoulder and paranoia sets in hard and constant. Sleeping is useless and coffee is her only high school friend. It used to be her step sister and it use to brother but times have drastically changed. Late night video game binges and energy drinks have become her way of life and it doesn’t look like that is going to change any time soon.

Nobody talks in the morning. Nobody dares mention what the darkness brought to them the previous night. It’s the night that’s to be feared. The darkness inside and around is eating them ten times faster than the breakfast everyone is staring at. Untouched breakfast again. Elaine knows why and she cleans up the table for another day of nursing her husband from going over the edge again. She stays possitive for him. Vigilant. James is a broken man and this time hiding the death away with new memories doesn’t look like it will work.

He still hears the screaming. Crying for help. He knew death was near that day. Everyone saw it and nobody can forget it. Helpless they do what they can to stay sane. Functioning as lifeless robots with painted faces. Trying always to look and appear normal to their peers and family. How much longer can this go on?
