One the fateful night, Diana said a prayer.

“Lord, please protect me from this man, he wants to do bad things with me, Lord give me strength to push this door when he comes,

Our father who art in heaven…”

‘Bang bang bang’ It was a loud bang at the door. It was a premature end to her intimacy with her God. It was a beginning of her troubles. She jumped up and pressed hard on the door. She had to prevent the man from entering he room. But her delicate energies could not help much. The already weak door gave way throwing her to the hard floor.

“You bitch, you think you can stop me from entering any one of my rooms?” he growled. He grasped his alcohol filled breath before reaching out for her. Diana was shivering despite the fact that it was a hot that night. She could not call out for help because no body ever listened. She remembered to call Jesus. He too did not answer.

Tearing her already torn skirt, he reached out for her hand and bound her onto the floor. He thrust himself into her before groaning with satisfaction.

“You are a virgin, well brought up virgin!”

Diana cried. She bled too. She also prayed. She prayed that this bastard would die there and then. It didn’t happen.

“What a mess!” he complained. His come had spilled all over his trousers. “Don’t dare tell a single soul” he warned as he left the room.

Diana, stayed in that position for sometime. The pain could not allow her move. She thought of her mother. She thought of her twin brothers. The innocent glare lala gave her when she lifted Him. She thought of her father. Then she thought of HIV/AIDS, taking out the her family photo, she cried uncontrollably. Just like a neglected baby.
