Kamereon the Tree Frog lives in Honduras and sees many things in his days, he describes to the reader life in Honduras and key parts of Hondurian life.

The Flag

Our friend Kamereon (kuhm-ear-ee-on) is found on the small nation of Honduras. The small tree frog is hopping along through the thick jungle foliage and comes into a clearing with a large, tall pole with a blue and white striped flag with multiple stars in the middle of the middle stripe. He hopped on up to the pole and seen a placard in the Spanish language, that being the main language this made sense to Kamereon, it stated how the blue stripes represented the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean and the white represented the land in between two bodies of water. The stars were said to represent the former members of the Federal Republic of Central America: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Not really caring much about the flag’s history and more about the pretty colors on it he simply left. He hopped back into  the greenery and skipped from bush to bush until he found some seemingly endless body of water. Noticing the odd air flow he concurred he was at the Caribbean Sea’s coast along Honduras.

Exports and Imports

Looking down on the docks and workers loading and unloading crates off and onto boats he seen many things being  loaded onto boats such as apparel, coffee, shrimp, wire harnessing, cigars, bananas, gold, palm oil, fruit, lobster and lumber. Kamereon assumed that the shrimp and lobster were there because of their rich coastlines. He also used his intuition to figure that the coffee, cigars, bananas, palm oil and fruit were being exported because of Honduras’ luscious forests and great growing lands. Some crates were labeled to USA. Kamereon grew tired of this so hopped on over to the Pacific Ocean!

As he heard the distant shores breaking on the coastline he scented the salty breeze and quickened his pace to a furious leap. As he reached the crest of the hill he looked down and happened on yet another port. But this one was unloading boxes from all kinds of cargo ships. Disgusted by seeing all of these boats lately he left. And as he went inland once more he came upon a busy road with large trucks zooming by with all kinds of goods inside them. He saw one stop so he jumped aboard and started checking out what was inside. Kamereon clung to the side of a box and when he looked down at it he was right next to the label! It read: Machinery- to Honduras. Origin: Mexico Date: 27 August 2010. He looked around and seen many crates with similar labels mostly only changing in what was inside. The contents ranged from industrial raw materials to chemical products and from fuels to foodstuffs. After feeling sick from being thrown around by the trucks voyage over the bumpy road he got off the large covered truck at the first stop he felt. And once again he ventured back into the jungle for the night and to go home and sleep on his favorite kind of smooth, broad leafed plant.
