A husband, who just wants food and quiet, gets and ear full from his wife after coming home from a hard day’s work.

Hours later, the sun burned my eyes as the door opened. My head fell backwards waking officially waking me up. I looked up and saw Jessica staring down at me, like she won a battle, as she dropped on my chest. “I hope this though you a lesson. You shouldn’t have been so boring to your wife. So there. Hope you had a good sleep.”

I picked up my keys, put them in my pocketed and sighed. “What time is it?”

“Almost 11:30am.”

“Ah man, im going to be late, all because you locked me out.”

“You not going to be late. You boss called and said if you don’t get in by nine-thirty don’t bother coming in because you’ll be fired.”

“What time did he call?”

“Eight-thirty.”

“Why didn’t you get me?”

“I was tired. Hey, if you got the right to be lazy when you work sixteen hours shift, then I have the right to be lazy when I clean the house all day for three hours.”

A giant lite match felt from the ceiling and landed on Jessica. Like she was dry sticks and plants, the flame from the match spread engulfs her entire body. She tried to stop, drop and roll, but gasoline poured from the ceiling causing to flames to reach the ceiling. Seconds later, Jessica exploded like an atomic bomb. As the impact of the explosion reached me, I closed my eyes and turned my head. When I turned my head around, I opened my eyes and found my wife unburned and unexploded. Damn!

I scratched my head and sighed several times. “You know baby. I’m going to my cousin’s house. I’m going to try to get my job back, but if not, I’ll just regroup for few days, and go look for a job. And I hope to at least get an interview in a few days.”

“So when are you coming back?”

“As soon as I feel that it’s a good idea.”

“What do you mean, “as soon as you feel it a good idea.” Im your wife, you should always feel it’s a good idea to see me.”

“Baby, you just going to have to trust me right now. It not a good idea to see you right now. I call you through out the week.” I turned and headed for my car.

“But how are we going to pay the bills if you aren’t working? ….”

“.” I just kept walking. Judging by the way the past twenty-four hours had gone, If I turned around, she might have gotten eatten alive by wolves and lions.
