In this short little story I make the description of two attempts of making an easy yet fun recipe.

Tuesday morning, and wednesday morning I had an idea, to cook something different from what I had been cooking, such as pancakes, waffles and jokes like that.

Easy recipe:

3 eggs, whole milk, sandwich bread (regular, not Integral, please) some butter or margarine, sugar and cinammon.

A bowl, egg whisks or a fork if you don’t have the whisks.

Recipe says: Put the 3 eggs whole in the bowl, and whisk them. ~No big problems here, everyone should be able to do this, until bubbles appear and the mix turns yellowish.

Then, add the milk and mix them.

This was fun to do, whisking and mixing, extremely easy.

Then, onto a frying pan, small one where the bread fits, throw some butter (Everything good, must have butter on it) until it melts completely.

Problems started when: Grab the mix, and pour it on a plate, then carefully put the bread on the mix but not for long, as this could make the bread crumble.

Guess what happened, yes, I left the bread for too much time and then it just fell apart when I threw it on the pan. It was a small disaster, but well, I did it once more, more butter, a new bread slice, and now I did it carefully.

The toast was on it’s way! It really feels good when you do something good, something easy and fun, yet it had its complications.

I had to flip it to the other side, otherwise it’d burn, and no one likes burnt food, apart from Trolls, but they aren’t even real so, another small disaster, I grbabed the pan and threw the toast on the air, you could see it fly, so golden and tasty, but when it fell, it landed on the edge of the pan, falling on the kitchen’s fire.

Second toast: Failure.

Determined to do at least 3 good toasts, I grabbed another one, did the steps until I had to flip it again.

My sister’s eyes were on me, so I couldn’t fail! Threw it and it just landed perfectly. Golden color, butterish smell (New word, perhaps?) and some nice texture could be seen.

Grabbed the fine sugar (which I ran out of) and the cinnamon, a small piece of butter and served it on a small plate. It was beautiful, as I was starving, and could finally enjoy the fruits of the easy-yet frustrating labour.

I ran out of ingredients that day, but next day everything went smoothly while doing them for the second time.

Got them right, all four in a row, the success, the victory, it’s just an awesome feeling. I love this.

Ps. Eat them while enjoying a cup of the best coffe you can get your hands on, trust me, perfect breakfast.

Until next time, cheerio!

I’ll get the full recipe and facts in the next article, but for now just an insight of how I tried and failed, then tried again and succeded.

Moral is: Don’t let a simple toast beat you, burn it, fail, learn; But then, and after everything, make it right, make it perfect, until you are sattisfied with the results, if you don’t do your best and enjoy, you have failed.
