Short tale.

– Flee, madam, flee! Salvadla! The bear, the bear!

Indeed, running toward them was a black bear huge, terrible aspect, mouth ajar and a length of chain around his neck. In two jumps Tristan was next to the Baroness, whom he lifted her like a feather, and she quickly ran off the road, to reach some nearby trees. Roger just happened to take some steps in the same direction and looked stunned to furious animal meanwhile blew Simon a string of French and English plugs and prepared his bow. Then, surprise, saw the Baron de Morel had not only fled, but was headed straight for the bear with quiet pace, taking in hand the red silk scarf that she had when he spoke to Simon and his friends . The bear came up to him, gave a low growl, and rising on their hind legs, raised his mighty paw.

– Hey, ugly! How we are in a bad mood? Baron said quietly, crossing twice with his silk handkerchief muzzle of the bear.

The animal, surprised, looked at him a moment, fell on all fours and growled again, looking to right and left and not knowing what decision to take, as the Baron, at two steps, watching him curiously, his angry little eyes twinkle. At that moment came four farmhands with thick ropes and in a few moments had secured the fugitive. The owner of the bear came too, fearing the punishment that would await him and said the Baron discovered that the beast had left it chained to the door of a bar while he drank a glass of beer, and suddenly having reached the castle dogs , attacked the bear, making him angry and break the chain. Rather than punish or reprimand the Baron gave him some silver coins, with the Baroness scandal, to which he had not yet passed the shock.
