The lady’s name was Thelma Tod Hunter. She used to go and attend the practice sessions in the nets. There she would bowl for long hours and it was reasonably very good bowling. 

One day while washing clothes in a washing machine she caught her fingers in a washing machine. The careless surgeon fixed the finger joints wrongly. After that when she bowled at the nets, she was unplayable. She shot to fame overnight. Even seasoned players could not play her. She went out playing at a higher level of the game. 

As luck would have it she again caught her fingers in the washing machine. This time the surgeon did a good job.

But now poor Thelma could never bowl again.
