There has always been an unhealthy phenomenon occurred in our society either during the old feudal times or the modern world today. Very often, if the wife is unable to give birth within few years after the marriage, the husband will always have a strong desire to look for a second wife. This situation is not healthy as it may eventually affect the harmony of a family.

Once, there was a loving couple who was married for years but unfortunately, the wife was not blessed with a child. The husband who desperately hoped for a child began feeling uneasy and discomfort. He was getting more anxious thinking of having a child when the time passed gradually.

The husband mustered all his courage to plead her wife for allowing him to marry a second wife. The wife felt hardly and hurt to let her beloved husband to marry another woman. She did not want to share his husband’s love with others.

Her husband knelt down in front of her and began pleading, “Dear, please let me marry a second wife to have our first child. I promise not to ignore you. I know it’s hard for you to accept this, but I’m sure you’re also hoping a child to call you “mom”, right?”

Her wife was touched by his sincerity and finally she fulfilled her husband’s wish to marry another woman.

The following day, her husband brought home a beautiful woman.

The woman said, “This must be your wife.” She then turned to her and greeted in a soft tone.

The wife felt hurt but had no choice to let her husband to have happy moments with this woman.

Her husband held the woman’s left hand and said to her wife, “Dear, let me introduce, this is my future second wife. We’re going to marry next week.”

Hearing upon this, the wife felt that she was trapped in a dark room. Her face turned pale as if she had encountered a ghost.

When the marriage ceremony was held, the wife did not turn up as she fell sick on the bed. She could not bear on thinking how the second wife had stolen her husband’s heart.

Thinking and thinking, she became irritating and upset.

Her husband did not keep to his promise. He paid more attention to his second wife rather than on her. She found that her beloved husband started roaring at her like a hungry tiger and he even treated her cruelly.

Not soon after that, the second wife gave birth to an adorable baby boy. The husband was so excited to hug his first son. He even gave more and more love to the second wife and the child by neglecting the existence of his first wife.

From the time the second wife moved into the house, the wife never ever had a peaceful life. She thought of her husband’s second wife as a sharp thorn in her flesh.

Seeing how the second wife and the new born baby gained so much of her husband’s love, she had herself transformed into a cruel, wicked and suspicious person. She could not do anything while her husband was at home as she scared of being slapped by him.

One afternoon, her husband was out for a work. She took this opportunity to torture her husband’s second wife by ordering her to do this and that. She treated her badly.
Her feeling towards her husband’s second wife became more intense when day passed. She would take every opportunity she had to hit the second wife. She had a plan to kick the second wife out of the house.

Her plan became success when she successfully locked the second wife in a dark room. When nobody was around, she took the opportunity to murder the child. While the child was playing happily with the toys, she pulled out one golden pin from her hair. Without any delay, she poked the pin hard into the child’s head. This was a careful plan that no one could notice her cruel act. The child cried loudly in great affliction. Few days later, the child died of an extremely high fever.

She released the second wife from the room and began crying pitifully saying that the child was died on the cause of swallowing poisonous substance.

The second wife was extremely shocked on the sudden death of her son. She grieved in sorrow and pain. She could not help crying for a long period. She neither ate nor slept well. A month later, she felt sick on the bed and had no strength to walk at all. As the wife’s wish, the second wife died of sickness.

The husband was too downhearted but he knew that died person could not be alive anymore. Thinking of this, he felt no point for him crying on the death of his second wife.
The wife became excited as her plan had succeeded to eliminate the thorn from her body. She felt relieving as her husband had paid more attention to her. She thought that no one knew the murder. However, the murder had raised her neighbors’ suspicion.

The neighbors and relatives wanted to find out the main cause of the child’s death. Without the knowledge of the wife, they had examined closely on the child. They eventually found a three-inch pin poking into the child’s head. This discovery brought further suspicious on the first wife.

The husband did not believe his wife would murder the child. He urged his neighbors and relatives not to investigate this murder anymore.

The wife was excited as her husband had back to her. Her husband was caring much of her existence. Not long after that, she became pregnant. She was extremely happy on behalf of the first delivery of a baby girl. The baby had brought her husband love and attention to her. She thought that no one could ever steal her husband away from her.

Unfortunately, the bad thing occurred in the family. Her daughter died when she was two years old. She cried her heart out. But, what could she do, the child was dead.

Shortly after the death of her daughter, she gave birth to a baby boy. Again, the boy died when he was three. Just after her son’s death, she gave birth to another baby boy. But again and again, all her six children died and none of them had lived more than six years old. The lost of the children had put her and her husband in a great grief.

The wife had an extreme sadness and thus she locked herself in the room. Since this day onwards, she refused to eat or drink. She even would not want to talk or see anybody.
One day, a fairy god mother transformed herself into a noble person coming to see her. As usual, she refused to meet him. But the person told her that he had something important to talk personally to her. With the man’s persuasion, she finally opened the door to invite the man entering the room.

The man greeted her politely and said, “Madam, may I know what’d happened here?”

She kept silent without saying even a word.

The man said again, “Tell me… perhaps I can help you.”

This sudden request made her feeling nervous and shivering. Her body shook greatly and she could not say even a word. Regretfully, she told the man the real cause of the death of the second wife’s baby boy.

She pleaded sincerely towards the man to forgive her.

The man said again, “Do you know why all your six children passed away? Your strong

revengeful spirits had killed all these innocent children.”

She pleaded even sincere to the man to help her.

The man added, “Well, the deaths could not alive anymore. The utmost thing that you’ve to do now is that you should clean your spirit from hatred, revenge, and cruelness. Never do the wrong things again. Instead, you should cultivate good virtues within yourself. Start doing as many good deeds as you can to repent your sinful spirit.”

With tears rolling down from her cheeks, she said, “Thank you master…..”

Not soon after that, the man disappeared from her vision. She began realizing that the man who talked to her coming from the heaven.

The following morning, she determined to follow the wise man’s advice to do good deeds. She had dwelt her heart in a spiritual world to repent her sins and the wrongdoings she did in the past. Contentedly, she had survived in a religious life that will promise her a great place in the heaven.
