“I did it Cynthia, I actually did it!”
“See I knew you could!”
“Be careful Cynthia, Ms Raymond is on her way to-”
“Get out of that corner you disrespectful menace!” Ms Raymond shouted has she violently tried to grab hold of Cynthia.
“No! You don’t have the right to treat anyone this way, I don’t care if you’re a teacher, a doctor, or what, but I will not be bullied, even by you!” Cynthia shouted back. “Hey everyone she shouted can you hear me still?” She asked as loud as she could to be heard over the noise of Ms Raymond’s ferocious attack.
“Yeah, we can still hear you, Cyn! Are you ok?” Jason replied.
“I’m fine. Hey, I want you guys to do something for me.”
“What?”
“Sing with me,” and Cynthia began to sing as loud as she possibly could into the vent. “The sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, they’ll be sun! Just thinking about tomorrow clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow, till there’s none!” And all the kids joined in singing with her and they all marched over to the furnace and soon the whole school was out side the furnace singing as loud as they possibly could. ‘They’re all possessed little inbreeds’ Ms Raymond thought, and had a nervous break-down.
Jason went on to become a math teacher.
Cynthia went on to share her strength with the world.
