Alright what the heck is an alpha male anyway? Basically, the term alpha male originated somewhere on the national geographic landscape, it is used to describe the dominant male in groups of animals particularly in lions.

            So how does this term relate to your well being? Alpha males are not only in the animal kingdom, they are among us, among you. Wherever their is a girl giggling at a party, wherever there is a football quarter back, wherever their is a CEO, a person who people like but cant figure out why. Wherever their is a group that constantly glares at that one guy for constant approval, wherever there is a guy laughing so obnoxiously loud that everyone in the room has to stop and laugh along, whenever a guy firmly grips your shoulder blade as he shakes your hand, their is an alpha.

·        Why are alpha males a problem?

When I first started reading about this phenomenon that is alpha, I figured it wasn’t really that big of a deal. I mean its just another basic personality type, let them be and just maintain my nice guy attitude and I’ll be fine (Cute right? I still thought being a nice guy was a good idea). Well little to my knowledge at the time, alpha males not only hold dominance, but work very hard to maintain their dominance, meaning they constantly prey on innocent victims (Nice guys :-[aww.)

So how do you deal with them?

·        The way I see it, there really only is 2 ways to deal with alpha males.

            -Avoid them completely.

            -Beat them at their own game.

Their really is no middle ground. These guys will constantly put you down in group settings in order to raise their own worth in the group. It might be discreet, hell, you might not even notice them doing it, but it’s definitely happening. You either have to stand up and challenge them, or move away every time you see one coming. Let me give you an example of an instance I’ve encountered and how I dealt with it.
