A man who’s life becomes tragic after a fire takes his family.
The breeze was blowing quite hard that day. That is a main reason why it sped so fast. Also the temperature that dreadful night was not helping matter. I was out celebrating my new promotion at the plant, so my family was home. it was about 3 in the morning when i finally when home, well, when i almost went home.
I came around the corner that lead to my house. when i rounded the corner and turned in, all i saw was fire trucks, ambulances, and a bunch of my neighbors standing out side. my house was on fire. they pointed at me. and talked among them self. What was i suppose to think. I got out my car, and ran to the house. a cop stopped me and i fell to my knees. I saw the body’s of my two daughters and and my beautiful wife. GONE. I cried.
I tried to get to them but the cop was stronger then me. Not that i was weak, but at that moment i could barley see, let alone fight. the cop got me a blanket, and i sat down on the side of the street. Was it really more important to celebrate my new promotion with my friends then going out with my family. i screamed again.
I got up, i ran to my car and drove off as fast as i could. No cops chased me, but to tell the truth i wish they would of. i drove so fast that my speed was not registered on my dial. my eyes were so wet with tears i could not see more then 3 or 4 feet in front of my steering wheel. I drove the the bay. i did not even stop for the gate went right through it. the chain link fence sparked as i hit it. When my eyes had finally cleared up a Little bit i saw what i was doing. i was driving off the Pier. i did not slow down though. i closed my eyes and thought of my family. saying to my self that i Will never leave u again. my car plunged into the cold dark water.
I had escaped the fire, but when it took my family it also took me. the fire had claimed its last victim, after it had already died. that is my story, and they were my life.
