A lonely woman and house-wife, finds herself in the arms of a handsome and gentle lover, even as her husband finds her broken body on the stairs.
He did it again. He took all the pleasure without giving her anything more then a sore crotch. Now he was rolled away from her snoring to wake the dead. How was she supposed to sleep when she was unsatisfied and he was snoring that loud. “God what did he do swallow nails? I need to get someone to come look at that banister that overlooks the downstairs, it’s too wiggly, if it broke someone could fall and land on the hardwood floor in the living room. Hmm, nails…I need to have mine done, might as well get waxed too. Although there is absolutely no point in getting a bikini wax…not like he is ever down there for long,” her thoughts whirled around in her head as she waited for sleep to take her. “Speaking on down there I need to get an appointment to have that rash checked out, but it really does look like rug burn the more I think about it…hmmm, wonder how I got that there? The only thing that would have done it would be what Gabriel and I were doing last night, but that was just in my dream, my silly, amazingly, wonderful dream. Mmm, the way he thrust his hips against me, I wonder why I never thought of trying that position before, who would have thought that laying down on one’s stomach while a man thrust against you would feel so sinfully good.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his alarm clock. She swore quietly at the only other sound that could be more irritating then his snoring, and not one minute of sleep. God I can’t stand this.
He gets out of bed and heads towards the master bathroom, she glares at his back as he turns on the light and shuts the door. All his fault, why couldn’t I have married someone else. She shuffles her way down the stairs and into the kitchen to make some coffee.
He comes down all showered, shaved, and dressed in a suit. He pours himself a thermos and heads out the door, not even bothering to say good bye or give her a kiss. Completely ignoring her crankiness, dark circled eyes, and her death grip on her coffee mug. Asshole. She watches him pull out of the driveway, images of his crashing the car and her getting a huge insurance check floated through her mind.
After he leaves she shuffles her way back up the stairs, coffee in one hand, banister in the other. She blinks , her eyes closing for just a moment, but she hadn’t the strength to open them again. It’s okay though, her feet know the way.
The coffee is placed on the bed stand and she kicks her slippers off, in complete autopilot. She was gone before her head even hit the pillow.
He was there again, like he had been for the past few weeks. Not her husband, her lover. The man who never left before making sure she was satisfied. The man who never snored and held her tightly all throughout the night. She could feel the heat of his body before his arms wrapped themselves around her. She sighed contently as she leaned into his embrace.
Ahh he smelled heavenly. Like sandalwood and pure male.
“I’ve missed you,” she murmured intertwining her fingers with his acrossed her belly.
“Not as much as I’ve missed you, my love,” his voice was deep and sure.
“Promise you won’t leave this time?”
“I promise,” his hot breath tickled her ear making her squirm against him.
“I’m so very tired,”
“I know. Go ahead and rest, I’ll be here when you wake up,”
“M’kay,” she whispered as her body relaxed against his and she fell into a peaceful sleep.
He got home from work, surprised to find that her car hadn’t moved.
“Must’ve got off early,” he said to no one else as he got out of his car.
As he stepped into the house, he found that no lights were on. This struck him as odd, but again no cause for alarm. It was until he turned on the living room light that he found her broken body on the floor, pieces of broken wood from the banister littered her and the floor. Her blood pooled and cooled around her, coffee mug still clutched in her cold, lifeless hand.
