He never realized the importance of his farewell photograph with Tanya, now Arjun searches for the answers, unfortunately there is just one person who has them. what started with a dream must end with Revelations, that are going to change his life forever.
this is a story of a discovery.
When we are right, his voice coincides with ours.
It’s all true if you believe it’s true. Was I a believer?
Yes.
I shuffled towards my almirah. I’d have to clean it today. I pushed aside a stack of stapled notes, how long will it be till these remnants of the exam month vanish. A stack of playing cards fell on the floor. “Damn” I muttered as sat down to scoop them up. Where was a pen when you needed one, I said to myself as I put them back. I pushed aside an old paint box. Ah, there it was, my favorite green pen, time to put it to a better use than writing new years revolutions. I pulled out a sheaf of papers.
The similarity of the conversation with Tanu that I’d just had, with the conversation in the dream struck me as I sat down at the table. Its true Because I believe it. “Ha” I marveled at god’s ingenuity, he wanted me to believe of my own accord, that was why Tanya hadn’t really got the call last night, at the risk of all of it being rendered futile, he wanted to give me a choice.
I looked out of the window at the clear blue sky. It was a big day, a day for changes and choices, and the birds seemed to understand it too as they swooped around with virgin energy. I was chained to my dreams, god, just the thought sent a nervous shiver through me, now I only needed to realise what my dreams were. Piece of cake. The time to correct the mistakes was nigh too, I won’t miss out again. I’ll chase my dreams.
But first it is time to write a story.
p.s. if you’ve reached this far, thanks for taking the effort, I really appreciate it. I drew upon real feelings, and people I knew to fashion the story, took some casual events and twisted them around, flipped them 360, added a little here a little there and wrote déjà vu. I was in the process of writing the story when I came up against one obvious road block, what could have happened to a guy to justify turning his life back?
I tried to find a suitable reason for days, only two things could have made that happen…..failure or loss….I eventually decided on loss, and that was when this story became an unintentional sequel to “my not so curious case”
. I decided to fall back on Tanya’s story, and wedded it with this one to fill in the gaps.
I also thought about omitting the part towards the end, when god pushes Arjun towards Tanya, but the part had its importance. I used it to signify Arjun’s struggle with his belief, he could have woken up and believed it all, but the important part was to give him a choice. Coz there is always a choice. Like right now you can choose to comment or just exit the window, but if you choose to comment, I’d be happy, and motivated. Cheers
