“In a world of creatures and uncertainty, I was unearthly. A dark angel and a guardian
combined with a will to do good, but a mind to cause total destruction…”
When mortal tears of blood are shed, Aurora cannot see the anguish; her back is turned. She is changed by something unexplainable into something lethal, poisonous and deadly.
But she’s not the only one.
She crouched low; behind a big green bush, knowing her appearance would frighten her. She watched Bree, who sat alone in the tall grass just beneath a golden willow tree. Her silvers wings pointed downward in sadness and shame. She pitied herself, believing she was the one at fault for not rescuing Aurora. Glistening silver tears trickled down Bree’s pale face, her auburn hair damp from the spring rain. Her blue cotton dress had become soaked and stained with dirt. Bree sobbed softly behind her fallen hair. Throwing her arms down, she released a loud screamed that echoed across the empty plain.
“How could I call to her?” “How could I reach for her?” Aurora thought to herself. She was not even the least bit recognizable nor had the same voice. Before Aurora couldn’t stop herself, she already stood out in the open where Bree could see her.
Bree’s face appeared as if she was seeing an angel approaching. Her eyes widened as any sign of fear disappeared from her face. A women with a bare glowing complexion and wild blue hair walked towards her. Her expression unreadable, but fierce.
“Bree!” Aurora whispered calming, as she nearly stopped herself from screaming.
“Who are ya’? Wuat do ya’ want from me?” Bree gasped as her fairy wings jumped up. She sprang up on her feet as if she were ready to defend herself against this unknown woman.
Aurora didn’t know who she was anymore; Fear and pain had already swept through her blood, recreating her, in exchange for everything she once was. Curiosity had taken over, destroyed her, leaving behind the ones she loved.
“My name is”- Aurora paused remembering what pain she’d already caused. “Irina!” She lied.
“Wuat’ do ya’ want of me, Irina?” Bree asked, as she eased her stance, allowing the blue haired goddess to speak.
“Do you remember-“, Aurora paused as she tried to remember her old name. “Aurora?” She recalled.
Bree sighed deeply, almost as if she had finally heard relief. “You have news of her? Where is she? Wuat’ hav’ ya’ don’ to her?” Bree shrieked in anger, becoming defensive again.
Aurora paused again, but this time she was trying to hold onto her strength to tell Bree who she truly was.
“Bree” – even the sound between her lips seemed to sting inside of her. “Aurora is gone, Bree.” It hurt to say those words knowing what she was doing to Bree.
As Aurora said this, Bree bursts out crying again, as she let the silver tears fall heavily. Her body shook as she tried to understand that “Aurora” was never coming home.
“I am sorry, but always know, she will never forget you!” Aurora turned away quickly to hide her tears that were building up rapidly. Swiftly the tears vaporized, as the fire burned within her eyes.
