I said I wouldnt start until the summer, but it feels like summer now. Thought id but out a potential start of the story out and see what feedback I get. Hope you enjoy it. Ok so I have now started to add more, as my creative moods are starting to come around more often.By the way, as I have not written or read anything for a while now this story will not be perfect, however after it or a chapter is done I will finely tune it and the spelling.

So here I am, colder than I had expected. Nevertheless I proceed to look around the monumental limestone cavern.  A sharp breeze grabs at my ankles, pulling me as the bitter cold stabs at my bare feet. Following the wind that binds me to an opening I stumble out onto a ledge. Pausing to catch my breath, I take a moment to gaze over my new found surroundings. The view was incredible, but left me wondering something, something so very odd. While looking out upon the spectacular cavern, taking in everything, the blood stained stone floor, the charred remains of beasts dreamed up in nightmares, the beautiful cryptic engravings on the ceiling, the eerie silence… How could it be so quiet? So empty? How could I be so alone? In here of all places, in hell.

As I was taking in my surrounding, something caught my eye. At the other end of the cavern was an entrance. Might as well check it out, not as if I have anything more important to do. Glancing around from my ledge the realization there is no way down to the main cavern struck me, and the drop well the drop was at least 60 feet. The cold air seemed to scale down the rough surface, carving out a path. As the wind was so kind as to show me a way, what could I do but follow. After dangling my legs over the rocky ledge, carefully with a sharp twist my body clung to the cliff. The rock was unbearably cold to touch, so much that my blood began to feel as if it was freezing in my veins. I begin to loosen my grip. It feels like my hands were dying, finger by finger stiffening up. With a sharp gasp I began to scale the cliff, rapidly as the knowledge I cannot hold on much longer plays through my brain like a siren. Following the trail of cold, climbing for all I’m worth, 5 feet, 10 feet, 15 feet. Then the trail stopped.

The stabbing wind seemed to all but disappear. Laying there hugging the plagued wall dazed and worried, with each passing moment my fingers growing rapidly stiffer. Set to plummet  plummet to my end, yet again. Then it occurred to me, was there ever a breeze? Is this just some form of trickery that I have oh so easily fallen for. My stupidity amazes me, a path of wind. Now set I’m to die again, but wait I am in hell, I AM dead. What could this fall possibly do to me. Before I could reach a conclusion my fingers froze up, the blood stopped moving in my finger tips. I began to plummet, all thoughts left clinging to the wall where I once held on. Somehow it felt as if all the time in the world, or more appropriately in hell ran slow. As I looked up I could see the ceiling move further and further faster and faster until………….with a  deafening crack my carcass hit the stone floor. The sound rang through the air bouncing off the cavern playfully, the echo taunting me.

My body lay there motionless, until suddenly I felt a force inside me. Life started to crawl into me, wait it never left me. In fact I could still feel it burning through my body, but now it all seemed to gush forcefully into my heart. It began, the searing pain. In my heart it felt as if an epic battle was taking place. I opened my mouth to scream but the breeze returned, and creeped into my lungs. I hoped this could douse the flames in my heart but instead they were amplified.

“Pitiful really, humans that is” a chilling voice rang out from the shadows around me “just a little bit of information you might like, in this domain you cannot die if you yourself are already dead. Death is too easy for one such as yourself, instead all pain, all sensations, even all allergies are amplified to devious extents, so my friend if you experience what would kill the mortal you on earth here, as I’m sure you know, it feels like the sun is exploding inside your heart, just a little something I cooked up…….”
A shadowy figure began to glide towards me.
