Right now, I am on my way to a new planet, one with possible life. It’s year 3103, month 5, day 16.I am lieutenant Wilson, top of my class. The Captain of Stargazer, the mightiest ship built on Earth, has requested that we all keep diaries of our stay on his ship. Many of us don’t know what to write though.

  We currently are five minutes from our destination, so I have to be fast. Current date, year 3103, month 9, day 29. Lieutenant Wilson. We have so far ridden smooth, without complications. Four minutes left. The Stargazer has been fine, and is still fit as a fiddle, able to take on anything. Three minutes to destination. Captain Philips is still the bravest man I have ever met, he has been complimenting me on my work more and more. I wonder if he has fallen for me. Every man back home fell for me.

  Oh, how I miss Earth, and my family. I wonder how Nathan is handling the kids. It wouldn’t be too horrible to have an affair with Captain, would it? Five seconds to destina-
