This is a fictional story alluding to the severe stock market crash in the 1900s.
Part I
With the stock prices skyrocketing, Jimmy Kim, who wore a black business suit that matched with his black hair and his rugged features, decided to spend his entire fortune of ten million dollars in investment to reap enormous amounts of profits. Sitting down at his office desk in his dreamy mansion, he reached into the first drawer on the left side of his cherished desk—made of solid red maple with a fine finish of varnish—and drew out the business card that Michael had handed him two days earlier. Then, picking up the office phone, he dialed the number to Michael’s office.
After three rings, Michael answered, “Hello? This is Michael Johnson from the New York Stock Market Exchange. How may I help you?”
“I am Jimmy Kim. I wish to invest all of my fortune into stocks right now since the stock market is skyrocketing. Like we said before, I select you to be my stock broker,” Jimmy replied.
“Sure. I could manage a time on my schedule to meet you so that you can sign the legal documents that will enable me to manipulate your money on the stock market. I will need your bank account number so that I may have access to your money. When I begin buying up stocks, I will provide a weekly report to you.”
“That sounds really sweet of you. It’s so nice to have someone who is trustworthy and willing to donate his time for someone else’s benefit,” responded Jimmy.
“Do you have time in your busy schedule to meet me on Saturday at 4:00 P.M. at the New York Stock market Exchange?” inquired Michael.
“My time is always available for you. I will bring my bank account information on the day we meet,” Jimmy responded kindly.
“That is fine with me. See you on Saturday,” said Michael, hanging up the phone.
