Always the same dream…
Walking through the bramble forest, branches scratching my sweater, twigs tugging at my hair, I come to a clearing. And he’s always there, just looking into the pool at the centre.
When he turns to face me, he turns into a hideous monster.
It’s about then that I wake up.

“Yea, we should have the plan organised by the end of the week, we just need to have the logistics manager come in and have a look. The electrician..? Oh I forgot…”
Walking rather briskly, but silently, it’s still not enough to not garner his attention.
“Haha. Look who we have here. The girl who couldn’t get here on time. Another nightmare? Or perhaps you were trying to help a little boy cross the road? Likely excuses.” He smirked.
“What right do you have to know these kinds of things?” I said, flustered. “You should know full well what constitutes idle banter, and gross misinformation.”
“It’s not misinformation if it’s true, right, Tatsu?” He teased, eyes full of malevolent hatred.
“Hmph. None of your business.” But as I walked on, he caught my arm. “Let me go!”
“Hey now, I was just joking. You’re early as usual. Say, want to go get a bite to eat somewhere?”
“And you’re just the same old prick as always. Why should I got get something to eat with you? And we have work to do.” I bristled.
“Fine, fine. Suit yourself.” He turned back to his thoroughly confused colleague. “Err…What’s that look for? Never seen a girl?” He laughed.
Some things never change.

Argh. Another traffic jam? Come on. There is no way that this jam could be happening the same time all week!
Stepping out of my car, I craned my neck to see what the commotion was about.
Oh jeez. It’s him, making a fuss again about the new tunnel that happened next to my house. It’s not even that bad. He lives a long way away, so why should he care?
