Dr. Faustas is a man who is courageous and magical.  He becomes a magician after trying to learn medicine and law.  The man ends up selling his soul to the devil.  Lucifer takes the offer for control over Mephastophllis for 24 years.  He practices magic and signs a contract in blood for the devil.  While this is happening, the good and bad angels visit him many times.  Dr. Faustas is a tragic hero who pursues information from sources beyond the possibilities of humans.

In the process of gaining knowledge and learning, Dr. Faustas Received a scholarship that allowed him to study whatever he wanted.  His original goal was to save people and care for them.  Because of this, he looked into medicine.  He didn’t like it, so he switched to law.  As a man of the law, saving people was not as easy, so he looked into magic.

Magic was his true calling.  Faustas summoned a devil and made a deal with Lucifer.  He acquired different books from different angels and people during the story.  This causes him to gain more knowledge than possible by an ordinary human being.  Dr. Faustas speaks latin.  He is very well educated.

The good and the bad angels pay Faustus many a visit.  They come to him and tell him what he should do.  Since the beginning of the novel, he ignores what the white angel said and then listens to the bad angel.  By doing this he becomes more and more evil, which is a major flaw.  His evilness makes him weak.  The courage he has in unmatched and never weakened by any powers.

Dr. Faustas is a courageous individual that, hurts himself on the quest for knowledge.  He was skilled in many areas and received a scholarship so he could study whatever he wanded.  He progresses through jobs and finally got to magic.  Because he is well educated and speaks latin, magic comes easily.  He, unfortunately gathers so much info that he loses power over some of it and this leads to his downfall.
