Heartbreak as my fantasy boyfriend becomes a nightmare.
Okay so, how many of you have glasses? No I mean shades? Fine; sunglasses? Bones if you may? Still that many people? Okay, how many of you have sunglasses and wear them because you feel they look good on you? How many wear them because they actually complement your looks? How many do because they TRANSFORM your looks? Yeah ‘transform’ because they look way too good on you! I mean without your shades, girls usually don’t answer you even when you are lost and only asking for directions but with your shades on, they have (on more than one occasion) taken you to your destination instead of describing it to you and given you all their numbers in case you need directions to some other place and you need a cute guide. Now you know what i mean right?
I attended a wedding ceremony of a friend recently and saw this fantastic looking guy. As far as i was concerned, he was the finest specimen of the male species I had seen this year. No, he didn’t walk up to me but He danced towards me and smiled in my direction. He had the cutest smile ever and dimples in both cheeks. He was tall slim, not too dark and had a mad suit on. His suit, his hair cut, his smile, his swagger and apparent suave would have brought shame to the best of armani’s models. His shoes were to die for and of course, he had bones on; GFF to be specific. With one hand holding his glass of champagne the right way and the rest of his body moving effortlessly to the beats the DJ was dropping, he was hmmm!
I pointed him out to all my friends and they all agreed he was VERY attractive until someone reminded me his shades might be complementing his looks. That set off a serious conversation about shades and their perks but i’ll save that for later. Anyway, i was past rational thinking and was looking for a way to dance across the room to where he was without seeming too obvious when i saw one of my friends talking with him! Was hurt but he was fair game since he didn’t know i existed.
Just as i was turning away, he took of his shades! Whoa! Hold on, no stop! Go back in time and don’t take them off! Was he kidding? I was in shock, and then coma for like 10minutes! I couldn’t believe it! He just wasn’t it!
At this point, I’ld like to say if you know your shades look way too good on you please take them off! If you have to put them on, for any reason, please have a sticker on your back or get a customised t-shirt saying ‘looks can be deceptive’, so you don’t confuse people like me who like to be around beautiful people and things.
Not that i’m trying to flog the “fine boy turns ugly in a heartbeat” hypothetical dead horse but it was a classic before and after picture of a sunglasses selling company. I mean, a proper ad campaign. I must tell you though; this is not the first time the “unveiling of someone putting on some really nice frames has been disappointing but this is my latest ordeal. Shouldn’t there be a body of some sort strictly for arresting of fining people like that for deceiving us? That’s mild; scratch that, for gross misrepresentation of who they are and what they look like? A good example is Goldie the singer; she’s ugly, she knows it and she shows us her face the way it is; most times anyway. What do you think?
