I had been drinking a very high amount of alcohol which infected my body with poisoning because I was drinking alcohol faster than my liver could digest it. My friend and I are 14 years old, and we decided to experiment with alcohol.
When my parents were out of the house at work, we had a few drinks of hard alcohol. We stopped once my mom arrived home and by that time I had a fuzzy feeling but was still able to think straight so I told her we were going to walk down to my friend’s house so she could grab something she had forgotten.
When really we wanted more alcohol. After we had a few more drinks at my friend’s house we proceeded to walk back to my house where I had tripped, fallen into a ditch, and passed out. I was extremely lucky that someone had found my friend and I, and called an ambulance for us, or else we could have died in the ditch and no one would have found us until the following morning. Ambulances arrived and carried our drunk bodies to the E.R. where paramedics had been working on healing me.
I was put on oxygen and had to have a Cat scan because the paramedics thought I had potential trauma in my neck. I had a I.V. placed in my right arm pumping fluids into me to remove the alcohol poisoning in my body. I had several cuts and bruises on my body, but I was lucky I had not broken anything during the fall. I will have to go to court to explain to the judge why I had done what I did, and have to face many consequences for my actions. I know I cannot take back what I did that night, but I am trying the very best I can to make everything right again, and put myself back on track to be everything I want to be.
I know now, alcohol is very dangerous if abused, and drinking under the legal age is very dangerous and can have permanent damage on you for the rest of your life. I was curious about alcohol and instead of asking an adult about it, I took it into my own hands and could have killed myself.
Alcohol is not worth dieing for, ask an adult, and don’t make the mistake I did.
