A dark story about a woman’s inside needs.
The moon darkens just like her heart; slowly she falls to the ground… Crying…. The tears fall one by one. She knows that if she starts talking to the moon again they will put her away for insanity. Little do they know he is the one that caused her to talk to the moon, he is the one that made her heart turn black and cold. She cries for him, wanting him, needing him. He has a piece of her heart and he doesn’t care. She stares at the moon and watches it fade away. The warmth and love she had for this world is no longer here. Her trust is gone just like the love she once had for men. Now she doesn’t trust, doesn’t want to trust. For he is the one that took the love and trust, he is the one that threw her to curb without a single look back. The tears fall. She starts to shiver the cold is getting to her but she welcomes the pain it brings. She wonders if he is looking at the eclipse too. Her tears fall faster and harder now… She yells at his name wishing, hoping for a response… None…The moon is almost completely gone now. She wishes she could feel the warmth of his embrace that is gone now. She wishes she wasn’t just talking to the moon. She is the talk of the town. They say she is crazy but little do they know he is the one she loved, the one she needed. He is now in the arms of someone else and this breaks her more and more. They keep talking about how she used him, but it was the other way around he used her. The moon is her only friend now but now it’s gone and it’s just her and the stars now. She pulls herself off the ground, tears in her eyes. She goes to her room and stares at the place the moon was. Wishing, hoping that he knows she still loves him more than the world. Oh but he doesn’t he doesn’t care anymore. She sits in her room talking to the moon where she is safe and they can’t take her away. The eclipse is over now, she pulls herself away from the window, knowing he can’t hear her and he can’t see the hurt he has called. She says goodnight to the moon and the stars and goes to bed knowing she will be free from this pain.
