Yes, the original version had all the chills!
I will not talk of the re-make with Nicole Kidman in the lead until I see it again. For now, the one starring Katherine Ross is a very tightly edited film. Katherine Ross is the protoganist that also ended up as a roboton wife.

The first time we see her taking a short of a man carrying a mannequin set the stage for the eery going-ons in Stepford, a new residential area smack in the centre of the research and development belt.

That men wants an ideal subservient wives is the theme of this movie. This will not be accepted by both

Did you see the original Stepford Wives?

How To Marry A Millionaire

How To Marry A Millionaire is an old movie starring Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall and Betty Grable who are three models looking to marry rich men but during their escapades, they all find love in stead. It’s a cute romantic comedy from the 1950s.

Recently I read that Nicole Kidman has bought the rights to the film which makes me wonder if there is going to be a remake soon. I don’t think Kidman will be in it (I hope not after her remake of Bewitched) but it made me wondered who I could see in the remake. Marilyn’s character was the bombshell who was practically blind without her classes, Lauren’s character was the feisty leader of the group while Betty’s character was the bubble head who was always bringing home some man who she scammed to buy her groceries/shopping goods.

Maybe Kirsten Bell, Blake Lively and Hilarie Burton. Just throwing out names there. What do you think?
