A man tells about a dream he has been having the past few nights.
Let me tell you about the dream I had last night. This dream. It was not an ordinary dream. I have been having this dream for a the past few nights now. I’m not quite sure it is supposed to be telling me. Every dream is supposed to have a meaning right? Well, every time I have this dream, it changes ever so slightly. Some little detail, even if it is completely insignificant to the rest of the dream, was always misplaced or out of time. But anyways, I’m sure that small detail doesn’t mean anything. Well, let me just tell you what happened in this dream. I’ll tell you exactly how it happened last night. Maybe you can help me. I hope you can.
When I entered this dream last night, I could tell I was very far from the place that I grew up in. The sun was always sharing its heat with me and, the breeze danced with me everywhere I went. I was in deep love in the nature. Madly in love. Deliriously in love. I can’t tell you how much I loved the nature. But this place in my dream. This place, it was almost surreal. When I realized where I was, I cried uncontrollably. These- these clouds. They crept over the sun like She did not deserve to live in my home. My breeze simply did not exist. I think She found someone else to dance with. I was heartbroken and completely lost. I sat down on the cold concrete and I began weeping. I looked up into the darkened sky and screamed “Where am I!?” But unfortunately, my love could not answer. I just remained there, for a time I could not tell you. When I finally placed my brain back in my head, I decided that maybe if I walked around this world, I could just meet some new friends. It was probably the best thing I could do in this situation. Would you agree?
Anyways, When I had obtained enough power to stand on my own legs, I began walking in the only direction the path would take me. I noticed something was not right as I was traveling. The trees were all lined up in a grid on both sides, like soldiers waiting for the approaching battle. They seemed to have been planted by people from somewhere. But where is the question. I heard a creaking sound coming from deep within this forest. It seemed like the trees were leaning overhead and were watching every move of my feet and my hands. A paranoia quickly swept through my body. I quickly looked up and the trees were still all straight. Something strange was going on, but I thought nothing of this and I continued on my journey.
