I think the title says it all.
”Hit the hole!”That’s right I said hole our only protection from one of the most destructive forces in nature is a hole in the ground it’s not even that deep. I grabbed Albert by the back of his neck and threw him in the hole because he was still looking at the sky and then jumped in beside him. We couldn’t see anything yet but the cold November air was starting to whip past us numbing our bodies to the onslaught that was on its way. Trees started swaying wildly with branches reaching out seemingly asking for someone to help them escape the inevitable. All the debris that littered the ground (and there was a hell of a lot of that) was being carried up into the madness that was enveloping our isolated little world I don’t know why but it helped me a little to know that someone else was going to have to clean that shit up. The wind was now starting to shift into something solid something we could see and I thought to myself was that the biggest tornado I’ve ever seen because I’ve seen a few and this one looked pretty damn big. As the tornado got bigger we both tried to get as close to ground as possible burying our faces in the earth which meant we couldn’t see anything but we could sure as hell hear the noise of the trailer flipping over. The weird thing is that it was only a couple of seconds after our trailer was tipped that we didn’t hear anything anymore and we both thought it was safe to get up and look around. The only real difference between now and before the tornado was that our front lawn was actually a lot cleaner what with all that crap swept up by the wind also our trailer was tipped over but that wouldn’t stay like that for long all it took to fix that was a truck with a V8 in it. If I didn’t know any better though I’d swear someone had done this on purpose because it really looked like the tornado was only interested in destroying our house.
”Oh hell’ ’said Albert.
”What” I said
”We left the moonshine in the trailer” Albert said
”Damn”
