A story about love lost and found…

I told Mom I don’t want to go here. Aside from the fact that I still hadn’t gotten over Kayleigh’s death, I had to travel by sea, something that reminds me of that incident, when Kayleigh was holding onto me, shouting my name for me to save her, help her… and I just lamely let her slip off my hand.

To think Mom did this to help me get over that… But how can I if travelling here had just brought back that one clash that proved myself weak for letting her go instead of holding on and, I knew, will keep on haunting me.

                Kayleigh…

I love her so much, to think that she was the least person I would want to fall in love with. She belonged in the world of glamour where she and her girlfriends’ best friend is diamonds and shopping is their favorite recreation. She belonged to the clique that usually walks in the campus as if in a ramp, treading the crowd-cleared path, people staring at them with awe as they pass.

I don’t despise them. Everyone loves her group because of their charity works and other good deeds. It’s just the way they act and do things that annoys me.

                Or so I thought…

It was one usual day when I sat at my favorite spot in the campus, on one of the steps of a stairway towards the library. I was strumming my guitar when I suddenly heard a girl singing the whole of the song. I was surprised one of the glams can sing that well.

We got to know each other and from then on, we learned to appreciate our own uniqueness, I mean, appreciate the different cliques we’re into.
