This is just another ordinary incident in my college life told in the most imaginative of ways!

College Cafeteria

Last Thursday:

10:15 am

Stacking up coins, I made a deal with that frowzy lady, and she brewed me a wild one, steaming hot. I was desperate. The consequences of a disturbing sleep stabs you until you lie to dream again. Over the edge of my falling eyes, I could see a perplexed face staring right at me.

“Was I doing something wrong?”

But before I could answer myself, a wild mob stormed in, drowning the epilogue of a dying silence. Snapping back to my instincts, I pulled the coffee mug and disappeared into the shadows.

From a distance, I could hear the sound of coins piling up, the chortle of a lady drenched in greed and a hundreds devouring on anything that wouldn’t kill them without delay.

Hunger reduces the line of separation from friends and foes. Everyone suddenly becomes a pathetic stranger that looks in the eye and flatters. Cursing them were a dozen, rich enough to afford a second plateful. A bunch of hooligans and the queens of lies and rumors did the needful to spread apprehension and refutation into those fatigued-minds.

Reviving myself and my prompt senses, I found to my bitter disappointment that I’ve been cheated on. The wild coffee that I was promised, turned out be nothing more than a flavored liquid. Gifting it to my acquaintance I headed straight to where I came from.

Thru littered corridors to an abandoned room, with nothing but disordered chairs, I pulled back just one and went to sleep, to dream, and LIKE ALL DREAMERS I CONFUSE DISENCHANTMENT WITH TRUTH.
