Benjamin was a named given to him by his father. He was born and raised in a poor family but took on a life of riches after becoming an incredible floor trader.
Father Time Calls Destiny
*Beep… Beeeep… BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*… It was the same aggravating sound he woke up to every morning of every working day. The only joy he found in that little piece of hell was the 5-minute sleep button; yet the joy of sleep was repeatedly snuffed out by the same nightmare-like tone. Despite the repetitive noise he made the most of those extra 5-minutes and fell back asleep instantly again and again and again.
He knew today was going to be a different day, an unexplained feeling radiated through the morning air. His same old morning routine of sleep walking to the shower followed by putting on a rather expensive suit and marching to the kitchen for breakfast, just didn’t seem right today. Despite his wealth, he ate the usual bowl of cheerios and started the coffee pot for breakfast. He sat down at the table, and as if on cue, his girlfriend of nearly two years walked in. The comforts in his life were born and developed from day trading 5 days a week and owning a multitude of global real estate, but he really didn’t have much to be proud of in his life without her.
“Morning Ben, what’s keeping you today? You are usually out the door by now.” She spoke with slight concern, but it was lost as Benjamin looked at the clock above the stove. Father time shot him a digital glare that read 6:32am; he was beyond late.
“Couldn’t tell you for sure”, he stated between mouthfuls of half chewed cereal, “I don’t feel right today. Maybe I have my doubts over those prime stocks I bought yesterday. I put a lot of faith into them but I just can’t be too certain right now”.
She laughed at that thought, “Ben, even if you deliberately tried to lose money you would still turn any venture into a goldmine with that mind of yours!”
