A horror thought stream short story.
Waves of chills spread through his mind, grasping his fears and radiating them into his body.
Spasms racked his body as the nightmares assaulted his thoughts, forcing him to kneel with his hands to his head.
The fear, oh the fear, sent dread down his spine, immobilizing his body and sending him crashing to the ground.
God, please make it stop.
He started frothing, babbling unintelligible words, screaming every few mumbles. He was in hell.
Scened after mind-shattering scene. Flames licked his body, and soon he was encrusted in ice. Shot in the head, ripped apart, falling off a mountain. Blasted by a grenade, stabbed in the stomach.
He started crying, wailing like a banshee. And he couldn’t stop. Soon he was surrounded by strange beings, with their faces horribly disfigured, groaning and roaring like madmen. He was then sent to running from a nuclear blast, almost upon him, attempting to fry him to a crisp.
These scenes were the fears of all the people in the world. He was subject to this horrible punishment by the fates. He was too see this, until his very soul changed.
He started begging for it to stop. He wailed that he would do anything to get out. He ripped at his chest, beating at his head. He was going insane.
He let a final blood chilling scream, and he went still.
Blackness. He welcomed it. He embraced the neutrality. He was spread with bliss. Nothingness. He cried, full of joy. But he couldn’t. He was paralyzed. Pitch black. He couldn’t move.
But he didn’t care. He was away from hell. He was free of the burden of pain. Suddenly, a light appeared in the distance. It grew larger, larger still, until it unearthed his being.
“Oh, its a boy!” squealed the doctor. The baby boy started crying, getting used to the light of the real world. The doctors and nurses let up a cheer, oblivious to what the soul of the baby went through. The baby stopped crying, and looked at the people looking at him. Where was he? And then, his memories purged, starting his new life. A second chance. A way to make up his terrible deeds in his last life.
