Years ago I dreamt of my aunt who passed away and her strange behavior in a dream forever stuck in my mind.
Trying to find meaning in a dream concerning someone you know is an important venture. When you dream about someone who has died and you are aware that they are dead in the dream it is important to try and understand the hidden revelation concerning the dream and what message they are trying to tell you.
Years ago an aunt of my passed away after a lengthy illness. She was an incredible woman of strength and great courage in the wake of a devastating disease that literally wasted her body away. In life she was warm hearted, and would give you the shirt off her back. At Christmas she would give everyone in her family a present, whether she was mad at them at the time or not. She took numerous nieces in to stay with her when they needed a new lease on life, and her loving guidance.
Vi was looked upon as the least favored of her sisters because she was so different from them, not only in looks, and hair but in personality. She was honest and told you exactly what was on her mind. It was a sad day when I lost my aunt Vi.
Then one night I had a dream about my favorite aunt who I knew was dead in the dream so I went to the funeral home to view the body. I entered the funeral home and asked what room my aunt ‘Vi’ was in. A tall pleasant man showed me to the ‘Blue room.’ I thanked him noticing his warm smile, and turned my gaze to the front of the room where I received the shock of my life.
Only there was no casket that my aunt lay in, but a fountain with water spraying everywhere. She did not appear to be dead, as she was sitting in the fountain and flinging her arms backwards like she was swimming. Her legs were moving up and down while she continued moving her arms. She looked like she was trying to swim sitting in a fountain instead of laying all decked out in a casket.
I watched her for a few seconds speechless, then having found my voice I exclaimed in shocked disbelief, “Oh my goodness!”.
“This must be something new they are doing with the bodies now! I grinned watching my aunt moving in the fountain.
“I like what they have done here, it is almost like she is not dead.”
I gazed in stunning wonder at my very active aunt, and quickly accepted a new concept of funeral preparations of the deceased. My aunt in motion! No casket!
Reality hit me within the dream and I started to wonder how they could do such a thing.
Well she won’t get any rest this way! So much for rest in peace! Ha! I grinned to myself watching this spectacle of wonder.
Does this dream mean that I should not worry about where my aunt’s eternal home is? I believe that our loved ones who have passed on can give us dreams to reassure us that they are fine and to move on with our lives.
I tend to believe that my aunt was telling me that although she is no longer with us, she is living a new life on the other side. She is not only drinking, but bathing in the fountain of life.
