The two fishermen left for the sea early in the morning. As they got into the boat, Dany, an elderly man of about sicty, said, “I hope we get good catch today. The weather too, is fine,” Fairuz, a rather quiet man, gave his friend a smile but said nothing.

When they were quite far from the shore they saw a large boat. A number of tough-looking men were unloading wooden boxes into a smaller boat. They were dressed only in shorts. “Fairuz, this is the first time we are seeing them. Who could they be?” asked Dany.

“Let’s get a little closer, perhaps we’ll be able to find out,”replied Fairuz.When they went closer, the two men became suspicious. They suspected that something illegal was going on. As they do not want to be seen by those dangerous men, Danny and Fairuz quickly turned their boat in a different direction.

“They must be smugglers, “Said Danny. “ I’m sure of that. Recently I heard over the radio that cigarettes are being smuggled decided that the best thing to do was to return to the shore immediately. They wanted to report the matter to the local police. As soon as they reached the shore, they headed straight for the police station.

Inspector Guna, who was on duty at the station, thanked the two men for their help. “ I really appreciate your help. We’ll rush to the place immediately. We’ve got to get them, “ he said.

The fishermen were proud that they had halped to arrest the smugglers.
