A little girl named Bailey visits her best friend Cyriss at the hospital. After her visit, she and her family (and friends), find a way to raise money for ugly illnesses.

Hello,

My name is Bailey. Today, I’m going to the hospital to visit my best friend, Cyriss.

Cyriss has an ugly illness. He has been sick for a long time. Today, he feels pretty good, so he said today is a good idea for me & some of my friends to stop by.

Cyriss drew smiley faces for everyone. He invited us all to sit around his bed to talk. We played lot’s of games, and even made up songs to sing. After a while, Cyriss began to get tired, so my friends and I said we would come back another day.

“Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the smiley faces. I had a good time visiting with all of you” Said Cyriss.

My friends, and I said goodbye. After visiting with Cyriss, I asked my mom if I could do something to help raise money for kids with ugly illnesses all over the world. She said sure.

I asked my dad, and brothers if they would help me. They were delighted!

Since my dad is a gardener, he suggested that we all put together bouquets of yellow flowers.

Also, my dad built me a flower stand so I could sell the flower bouquets. My friend Nate, and Emma have offered to help me pick flowers from our garden on the weekend.

After church on Sunday, my family and I will visit the hospital and pass out beautiful yellow flower bouquets to Cyriss, and the other patients.

The Excellent Achievers club found out about our mission, and offered their assistance. Now, we are able to quickly fill all our orders, and sell more flowers. Awesome!

Once the department store found out about what my family and I were doing, they donated hundreds of colorful vases. How cool!

Next, the craft store called. They donated lots of gift baskets, and ribbons. My family and I were thrilled!

The following day, at school, my teacher and classmates offered to help, by using the gymnasium after school to make bracelets.

On Saturday, my teacher brought the bracelets to my flower stand so I could sell them. I sold all the bracelets in one day!

When I went to church on Sunday, I thanked God for blessing me with such wonderful friends and family. I also asked God to make Cyriss feel better.

The next day at school, the principal announced to everyone that she placed a suggestion box in her office for us to write down new ideas to help raise money for kids with ugly illnesses.

Also, the Excellent Achievers club made a poster with pictures of all the kids who volunteered their time to help me raise money.

My classmates, and I were so happy to see our faces on the poster board. We all began cheering, and clapping our hands.

Well, I have to leave you now. Please join me in praying that one day, there will be a cure for ugly illnesses all over the world.

Goodbye,

Your friend Bailey
