I was about six-teen when I wrote this and the first I copy-righted.

In a small town there lived a girl with cerebral palsy named Yvonne Bortz.  Her condition was severe; she depended on people for her most basic needs.  This made her bitter.  One day she went to the temple of Lynne the goddess of love and compassion.  Yvonne said,” I wish for a male companion to accept me as I am.”  For thee angel of love and compassion, I bring thee all my riches.  Lynne the goddess of love and compassion appears, and says, “you really think that’s how you get a man?  The world doesn’t work that way.  Yvonne replies, “that’d the only way I can conceive of me having a boyfriend.”  Lynne said, ” I don’t believe that.”   Yvonne replies why have the gods forsaken me?  The goddess of love and compassion replies, “we haven’t; we gave you a gift.” ” What gift?”  “  The gift of writing.”   Yvonne replies, does this mean you won’t give me a man?”  Lynne answers, “yes.”  Yvonne drives fiercely out of the temple.

While Yvonne was trying to prepare dinner for herself, she knocks a plate on the floor.  The goddess in the appears and says, “let me help you.”  Yvonne replies, “I don’t want your help.”  Lynne replies, “I want to help you.”  Yvonne throws a glass at Lynne, and falls out of her wheelchair.  Lynne comes over and scoops Yvonne in her arms and puts her back in her chair.  Her arms felt strong and gentle, just like the ways of love.  That was one of the safest moments Yvonne has ever been in.  Lynne made Yvonne her supper.  Yvonne thanks Lynne for dinner.  Lynne tells Yvonne that it she needs her all she has do is call.  Later on that night Lynne appears in Yvonne’s room to tuck her in bed.  Lynne replies, ” let your blackened heart and soul go where reality and fiction combine.”

The next morning Yvonne awakens to the smell of breakfast.  Lynne comes in the room and says, “it’s time to rise and shine.”  Yvonne replies, “get out!”  Lynne leaves, and tells her that if she ever needed anything all she had to do was call.  The next day Yvonne goes to Lynne’s temple.  Yvonne says, “I call upon thee goddess of love and compassion.”  Lynne appears without a sound and says, “my friends call me Lynne.”  Yvonne replies, “I’m not your friend.” ” Why are you here?”  Yvonne asked, ” why is love the forbidden fruit for me?”  Lynne says, “it’s not.”  Yvonne and Lynne get in a heated argument about life and love.  It seemed like they were arguing for days.  They argued until their voices were horse.  Lynne replies, “you just can’t admit that somebody might care about you!”  Yvonne responds, “there is no reason for me to admit to anything!”  Lynne says, there are people in this world that care about you!
