“You don’t get it. Because of us this sword was made. This sword will be responsible for the imbalance of good and evil in a future where peace is adored and not only as a dream but as a fact of life.” kane then begi to walk about the cave as if he were giving a tour.
“What are you on about?” Monk asked as he watched Kane limp around while slowly regaining his strength.
“I am talking about the end of the world. In the past many people faught and died because of religion. So if this sword was to surfice then imagine what could happen.” Kane then lost his footing and fell to the ground as his knee gave out.
“Ok so destroy the sword.” Monk said as he continued to watch Kane and wait for anything other then a peaceful reply.
“It’s not so simple brother. We created this sword and we are not even supposed to be here. I did what I had to do because I need you to stop this cycle. I have seen this again and again and everytime we killed each other leaveing not only the sword but a life that is not suppose to be.”
Imediately the thought of Jessica entered David’s mind again and strangled his heart. He could not understand exactly why but he felt sad, empty, and totally alone. “Yes the child that is of two worlds. This is why I have created these portals, so that we can have our child. If I hadn’t of used this worlds power shortage as a cover up then we would of lost the only thing we have ever loved. I seen what happened to us without her. It was not good. I can honestly say that because of her our life has been at the very least the most interesting thing. Without her we died long ago in that small village fighting to keep our religion alive. This way not only did our religion survive but so did we.”
“Whats with this we buisness? As much as you might look like me you are not me.”
“Do you still see you dragon?” Kane asked as he walked towards the dying beast.
“No, where is he?” David asked as the thought of revenge for Kilps possible death entered his mind.
