All the people who had died just to make the world a better place filled her heart with so many conflicting feelings. As She looked over at the tree line where the huge tree trunk still stood the peace keeper spoke, “We didn’t know exactly what it was until just now. I personaly thought it was just a ditch but.” She then paused as they got to the cave entrance.
The two then walked in and looked upon the cave that seemed to be full of bones. A huge set of bones sat against the wall right next to the entrance of the cave. More were all about the ruin as the two continued pass them and the peace keepers who were studying them. They then came to a stop as the astonishment of the cave filled the comanding officers heart with sorrow.
The peace keeper then pointed to a small hole in the gound that seemed to be big enough for a person to climb in and out of. “What do you make of this?” The peace keeper asked. The comanding officer then bent down for a closer look. As she wipped away some dust she seen an engraving on the hard ground. “What do you suppose it means?” The peace keeper asked as her comanding officer stood and walked over towards the reminance of one of the portals. “You know it kind of looks like this portal here.
“I’m not sure but make sure no body touches it. Just film and document from her on out.” The woman ordered as she bent down and touched the remains of what seemed to be a waist and legs in front of the half portal. She stood up and looked at the U shape that was once a full circle. She then turned to see her son running towards her.
“Mom, mom look what I found!” He yelled as he ran to her. She seen him run and within his right hand was a pistol with a golden dragon on it. The woman smiled as she bent down to greet the child.
“That was your daddy’s. Maybe one day when your older and if your good, you can have it.” She then recieved the pistol from the child and put it in her pants behind her belt at her waist in the back. “You go on and get back to the tent. I’ll be with you shortly, ok Davey.”
“Ok Mom.” With that said the boy then smiled and walked back to the tent. As he exited the tent he looked back at his mom and seen she was crying. He watched as the woman next to her hugged her.
“Don’t worry Jessica. Im sure he is fine.”
“Every time I look at our son I see him. I mean.” She said as she wiped her tears from her eyes. “I mean it’s like he is him or something.”
“I know, I see it too. Don’t worry everything is different now and I’m sure where ever David is he is watching you right now.”
“Thank you Destiny. You are a great sister.” As Jessica sad this Destiny hugged her and the two smiled as Davey walked out of the cave.
“You go play with your son. We can figure all this out.”
“Ok but if anything changes you let me know.” Jessica said as Destiny released her.
“Of course.” Destiny said as she smiled. With this Jessica walked out of the cave and as she exited she looked back and smiled. She then looked at the remains of one of the portals as she whispered, “I love you.” She then thought about what she would say to whatever God or Goddess she met upon her death. As she continued out of the cave she looked up at the sky and said, “Thank you.” She then looked towards her tent to see little Davey running into it. She sighed as she whipsered to herself, “Love is Life.”
