“Well, I was on a hill about fifty yards away from the cave watching for any more movement. The group was a little overdue to return and I was beginning to think it was about to be all up to me. After doing some recon in the other world the group headed in to find David and the others I decided to stay back incase anyone else tried to come in behind them. Which did happen and I tried to kill as many as I could but I thought it just wasn’t enough. God only knew how many had gotten in before I even made it to my post. I did kill some though. In fact I killed three before they knew what was happening and four more before they could run into the cave.” After taking another shot and refilling the others Chad looked at Jason while he was pouring.
“Thank god for that. If you hadn’t then David here would have been dead like Aaron and Kate. Monk smiled at those words as Sandra exited the bathroom and the whole group turned their heads to her as Blaike walked up to her, hugged her, and then kissed her. Something about this seemed all so familiar to Chad leading him to wonder. “There is no way. Their not?” Chad asked David who was in his own mind.
“Chad I wouldn’t doubt it for a minute.” David replied. The group looked at one another in wonder.
“What do you mean?” Jess looked at Jason as he asked.
“These dreams have come to me as I lay awake, remembering lives through every single mistake. Praying he now loves her, with every fourth breath I take. For her I’d now live, if love could not forsake.” Jason and David both looked at Jess who was speaking through words not of her own yet in her own voice. The group all looked to her as well wondering where those words came from. Jess looked into her glass as she again spoke before taking a drink of her soda. “But for now I dream asleep, awake.”
“Liz?” Monk asked as he looked to the side of her face. Jess turned to him and smiled.
