A kids short story.
Every winter when Franky’s school got out for Christmas, his favourite thing to do was to go to his very secret cave. Nobody else knew about it apart from his dog Mickey. They used to spend hours exploring, and visiting friends who he hadn’t seen all year.
Franky always came across his friend Tim. Tim was a friendly toad, who always looked forward to seeing Franky, and Mickey. Tim always showed them the way into he cave so they didn’t get lost. Although they went to the cave on many occasions, the cave sometimes changed its shape because the evil witch would use her magic to try and turn people, and animals into stone.
The witch hadn’t been seen for many years, but she has turned up just before Franky did. She wad woken up from a long sleep that was put upon her by the wonderful wizard. Nobody knew his name or the witches name, but only that the witch was grumpy, and men, and the wizard was happy, and nice to everyone.
Tim showed them the way into his home, and his sister was there. Her name is Tina. Both of them where so big that they made Franky look small, so if they ever needed to cross the water Tim, and Tina could carry Franky, and Mickey on their backs.
After an hour of catching up on what had been happening throughout the year, the friends decided to go for a walk. On the way they all bumped into another special friend. Fritz the fox was his name. Fritz had come to warn them all the the witch was on her way as she had heard another human was in the cave, and didn’t want any other human in the cave.
Fritz told his friends to follow him to the wizards house, so they could be safe, but Fritz knew the witch would send her nasty, smelly trolls to find out where Franky was. The trolls hid in dark, damp holes which where really good hiding places for anyone to hide in.
Fritz knew of a bear that nobody had never seen, but had heard that the trolls where scared of. He knew of a forbidden path to the bear, which would lead to the back of the wizards house. It was very risky, but they knew if they didn’t take this path the trolls would capture Franky, and everyone else, and he would never be able to go home and see his parents ever again.
