A young woman goes through quite an ordeal.
I’m standing in the middle of a dark road, lost! My head is pounding. I rub my left hand across the back of my head and my stomach muscles instantly throb. The pain is so intense; I’m immediately nauseated and dizzy. A bright light appears out of no where piercing my eyes. I throw my hands in the air and the sound of brakes let out a skretch that that echoes into my ears. I try to see, but squinting is all I can manage. I stumble backwards trying to clear the road but I fall to my knees. As the car passes around me I hear a voice yell
“Get out of the road”
I look up, but all I see is the faint shadow of the car. I place my palms down on to the road trying desperately to gain my balance. I begin limping across the street. I can hear music somewhere in the night. I look around; to my left I see a stop light that is flickering, and to my right, I see the faint shadows of what appears to be a house. I head down the right side of the street, I’m fixated on making it to the house, maybe someone there can help me find my way.
As I approach the house, I notice that the driveway is covered in red chalk, or red mud, I can’t figure out witch. I cautiously walk up the path of the driveway. There isn’t a light on the street, and I don’t want to take the chance of falling again. However, there is a small reflection from the inside of the house. Maybe there is someone home. I continue up the walk, and come to a small metal gate. The gate is cold to touch. I reach down and unlatch the gate, leaving one hand balancing on the top. At the same time, a loud siren roars somewhere nearby. The noise sends a wave of fearful shivers down my spine. I look up, and there is a man in front of me. I jump and gasp at the same time. He is a tall slender man, maybe in his forty’s, his face is hidden by the hood of a sweater, and the darkness of the night.
I open my mouth to say something, but he cuts me off.
“Who are you? What do you want?”
