Chapter 1:

Ok since everybody kinda hated me time vs space thingy i thought i would try something a little different, ok here it goes.

3 ordinary people called Jim, Steven and Bob were on their walk home from school and they walked past withered woods and saw a glimmering light, they went to see what it was expecting to see the anual firefly dance(made that up entirely) although it was 2 months early, they saw a large portal and it seemed to pull them towards it, no sooner had they found it they were through it, it looked like a more future version of earth.

Jim saw a poster saying HUMAN POPULATION FALLS TO 3476!!, they guessed they were in the future and nobody was walking across the street, although they saw several terrified faces at house windows, they turned around and the portal was gone, coming round the corner was a horde of bugs that none had seen before, they were red with glowing, penetrating blue eyes, with large antennae and 6 legs, large jaws protuded from their face, they were the size of cats.

They saw a person at their door urging them inside, they quickly ran inside the house and closed the door behind them, the bugs looked around for more prey and found none, they retreated aroudn the corner again, they were safe..for now……

Chapter 2:

Jim spoke up “what were they” he said, The person who saved them whose name was Harry said”Grexon, little bugs that wrok for the grex, nasty creatures that travel in hordes, killing huamns and bringing them to the hives, every so often the grex come here normally lead by a praetorian, but with the soldiers out fighting the main war between humans and grex they are free to send their warriors to unarmed villages like this one.”Bob replied”Why can’t you just attack them with pitchfroks or something.”

Harry explained that grex praetorians have incredibly thick skin and even bullets have no effect, he alos explained why nukes won’t work.”When we use our technology animals like the grex notice it and start to evolve to combat it eventually they grow to hate us and attack us so we end up using more reasources to make new weapons and then they deal with them, eventually we run out of reasources and they evolve to wipe us out, believe it or not those grexon and grex evolved from ants, and 1000000000x more intelligent, that makes them smarter than us, they can even talk but not in our language.”

A large screeching sound was heard, Harry had a look of pure horron on his face,”that” he said “Its a praetorian and its here.”

Chapter 3:

All four of them watched as the praetorian garbbed the door of a house and riped it of its hinges, the grexon scurried in adn came back with 3 struggling people another grex that Harry said was callled a ravager quickly finished them off with blades that can cut through titanium with ease, they went to one more house did the same and retreated.

Steven said”Why can’t all the villages just gather and attack the hive.”Harry’s reply was”Simple, we don’t know where it is, and the grexon have an incredible sense of smell, same with grex they could see us foloing even though they have no eyes, they have eye sockets and they take in scents that we cant detect, like they can tell the difference between an oak and a beech tree by its smell, anyway, they smell the air constantly and the scents go into their `brain` and they `see` their surroundings, they can’t atually think, they recieve orders telepathicly from the queen, she never comes out of her nest, all grex are female” “How do they reproduce asked Bob. “Simple again, there is a male egg laying species called gronx, the queen lays eggs, the egg hatches the gronx comes out latches onto human females and lays an egg inside them.” “EWWWWWW” they all said.
