I am going to tell you about an apparition of a little girl that I seen personally, back in 1987,when I was a bellman for the haunted Crescent Hotel of Eureka Springs,Arkansas.First,I would like to give you a little bit of information about the crescent.

Built in 1886,the Crescent Hotel is known as the “Grand Lady of the Ozarks,”after the turn of the century until 1934 ,it was a college for women during the off season and a hotel in the summer.In 1937,Norman Baker bought the property,He was falsely claiming to be a doctor and offering a bogus cure for cancer.He renovated the hotel into a hospital and lured in cancer patients in until his arrest in 1940 for fraud.Reports of abusive treatment of the patients were common.After Bakers departure the crescent has been operated as a hotel by various owners.

Talk of ghost haunting at the Crescent is nearly as old as the building.Most of the ghosts date back to the Baker era,Even Baker himself is thought to still haunt the hotel.Here is some of the most popular ghosts,Theodora,she was one of the cancer patients is seen on the fourth floor in a full body apparition.Her room is 419 and she likes it to be neat and orderly.On the third floor there is a story of a college girl whom people have reported seeing walking through a wall where the door to her room,319,used to be located.Another college girl on the third floor has been seen falling from the third floor balcony.There are many stories of ghost,construction worker that fell to his death while the hotel was being built,patients,college girls,and even children crying,laughing and playing in the halls.

In 1987,I worked as a bellman in the hotel,I was working a night shift and at about 9 pm,things were calm and not much going on, I came around a corridor of a long hallway on the second floor,at the end of the hallway I seen a little girl just staring at me,she was wearing a dress and had long brown curly hair but she was dressed like in an earlier era.She then turned away and disappeared,she had to ways to go,down a hallway or down the stairs to the first floor.This just struck me as really odd and the apparition just didn’t seem real life,I immediately checked both exits and she was not to be found any where.This happened real fast and in my mind I cant see that she could of escaped my sight that Quickly.I worked at the hotel for three years,the little girl is the only ghostly thing that I had witness,but the hotel just has a way of giving you that eerie feeling.
