THE SEARCH FOR SURVIVORS

Cedrick smirked. “Quit fooling around George.” He said. “I know you know everything but…that? You’ve got to be elfin’ kidding me,” he burst into laughter. He looked around and then he flew. “Look at this George…” he pulled a broken arrow and broke a bone from the remains of an elf and then he came back in front of me.

“Yuck…” I said. “That smells gross…throw that away…” I told him but he just shook his head.

“Relax George… It’s not that really gross,” he said and I was completely astounded by what happened next. He stabbed the arrow in his wrist. I swear I saw blood.

“No…” I shouted but he smiled and when he pulled the arrow from his wrist, there was nothing. That made things clear in me. “Yeah… you really are that invincible…” I said, amazed by what I just saw.

He rolled his eyes again. “Yeah…yeah…but look at this…” he stabbed the broken elf bone in his arm. That time, I wasn’t shocked anymore but when he pulled the bone. There was blood all over it. “I guess I’m not that much of a superman George. Even an elf’s remain is still an elf magic. Elf magic is the only thing that can kill me as well as the other gelves.”

Everything I just learned about went confusing again. “Wait…you bled? Are you going to be dead then?”

He laughed again. “Of course not, it’s just a wound and I’ve stolen healing dusts from Englum’s fortress.” After that, he pulled a small pouch from his pocket. He poured the pouch in his wound and presto…it healed.

“See that Cedrick? You are still invincible… even if you get hurt by elf magic, you can still be healed by elf magic… what I saw is different.. what I saw is….”

“Blah blah blah George… Enough, we need to get out of here. We need to look for Gilderoy and the other survivors of the last battle. After that? You can do that entire theorizing thing…” he said and then he flew and led the way down the hill. “Follow me George.”
