Brianna Frost and Jennifer Lee were best friends.  They were undergraduates at the University of Pittsburgh.  One sunny afternoon Brianna used her cell phone to confess to Jennifer that the night before she had slept with two guys at the same time.  Brianna had a hangover.

“No you didn’t,” Jennifer said.

“I was drunk,” Brianna said.  “I mean really drunk.”

“Are you telling me you actually did two dudes at the same time?”

“I guess I did,” Brianna said.

“What were you thinking?”

“I told you I was drunk.”

“Girl,” Jennifer said, “there’s not that much alcohol in the world.  Do you know who they were?  Do you even remember their names?

Brianna said, “Lloyd Price.”

“The football player?”

“And Tony.”

“Tony?” Jennifer said.  “My Tony?”

“I’m sorry, Jen,” Brianna said.  “I am so sorry.  You don’t know how sorry I am.”

No answer.

“Jennifer?” Brianna said.

No answer.

“Jen?” Brianna said.

No answer.

“Jen, please.”

Jennifer said, “What’s Lloyd like?”

I was drinking water at the same time, and I ended up spraying it all over the floor. Wasn’t really funny when I thought about but it shocked me. Nicely written.

    Hahahaha, that was great man.

Hi, Uma, Janet, Eugene, Babyface Jam and Nyconz421:

I didn’t know the end of this story until I started writing it out with pencil and paper. When that last line came to me I knew the story was over.

Great story, told as a joke, interesting idea.

Hello, oldster: the ending of the story was as much of a surprise to me when I wrote it as it is to the reader when the reader reads it. Isn’t creative writing wonderful?

    Outstanding story man.

  • Guy Hogan on Sep 12, 2009

Hi, Redburn: This is one of my favorite stories because of the twist ending. The ending is a surprise but it makes perfect sense.
