Jesus Lifeline
Deuteronomy 30:19; Moses said to the Israelites, "I have set before you life and death….Now choose life,so that you and your children may live."
.”When my husband and I first moved down South in September 4Th,2008, our first place we rented when we arrived in Georgia was a two bedroom trailer no heat, roof leaked the trailer was suppose to be repaired before we moved in. Our drive was sixteen hours from where we moved from and we already had our rental truck there with our belonging, our personal items. We felt we had no choice to moved in the trailer like it was and just take their word that things would get fixed. We always paid our rent on time, had to pay a security deposit which we did not get back. The landlady robbed from us $1,500 for we did not have a lock on our home because she was suppose to fix that too. My husband and I had to make a decision move and get out of there as fast as possible so we prayed and fast and waited upon the Lord. The night before we were going to move out the landlady’s boyfriend pulled a gun out on my husband threaten to shoot him. Yes, we called the police but no help on our part from them. I believe because we were from another state. God kept us safe and we got out of there with our life’s.
After going through that and for the first time in my life I was living in fear in my own home. I began to think how God rescues the lost. Our landlady and her boyfriend were not saved, they drank, cursed God. Paramedics, doctors ,nurses, a friend cast out lifelines to those in distress. God did the same, He sacrificed His Only Begotten Son to die on Calvary and Jesus paid the price for all sinners. In spiritual sense God threw out the lifeline too for those in distress, by offering us eternal life. Just imagine to yourself and ask yourself, who would refuse to be rescued from eternal death, Hell.
Every day millions of People all over the world remains lost, cast adrift or separated from having a relationship with our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. As followers and believers of Christ as those who have been rescued and excepted Christ as our personal Savior we have been rescued from spending eternity life in damnation, we have the privilege, the responsibility to offer Christ’s lifeline to those who are lost, those who are in danger of loosing their life of drowning in life’s turbulent seas. For them it is a matter of life and DEATH.
