Are your people hostile?

Alterrans are absolutely friendly towards the inhabitants of Earth. The people of Alterra have lived in peace since Biblical times. We have thrived in an environment of religious tolerance. In truth, Alterrans have little more than a small peacekeeping force to deal with the occasional robberies or domestic disputes.

What is Alterran Physiology like?

Altterrans are virtually identical to humans with the following notable exceptions

• Skin pigmentation ranges from a light grey to a very dark, almost black, grey.
• They have no body hair.
• They have two livers.
• They have no ears, only an ear canal.

Where is Altterra located?

Far closer than you think. Altterra shares the Earth’s orbit, but sits on the exact opposite side of the sun. As a result of it’s location, it is virtually impossible to view Altterra from Earth and vise versa.

What are Alterrans doing here?

Most Alterrans come to Earth to vacation there, although the recent Altterran census shows that approximately fifty Alterrans have moved to Earth permanently to retire or raise families in a new and interesting environment. It should come as no surprise that Altterrans have been making trips to Earth for about eighty years. It is widely regarded as a wonderful vacation spot. Ireland in particular has been voted the number one vacation spot by “Great Getaways” magazine for three years running.

If Alterrans have been here that long, why hasn’t anyone noticed?

UFO sightings occur the world over. The truth is, no matter how careful aliens are to avoid detection, someone slips up every now and then. Up until now, Alterrans have relied on mankind’s innate skepticism to keep the truth under wraps.

Why haven’t Alterrans shown themselves to us before now?

President Douglas revealed himself, and consequently the rest of the Alterran people, to the world without the prior approval of the Alterran governing body. When Alterra first got word of his impending election, they urged him to either drop out, or remain in disguise. President Douglas believes that the people of America needed to know the truth about their president. He was adamantly against misleading the people who put him in office.

The revelation was taken far better than the people of Alterra had anticipated. Given the extremely violent and unstable nature of parts of Earth, they fully expected humans to decimate themselves within days of his speech.

Do Altterrans have any religious beliefs?

There are several faiths followed by the peoples of Altterra. They include worship of the planet itself and all its bounty, worship of Zemta, who is said to have attained enlightenment and unity with all, and The Children of Hann. Christianity has also been practised for aproximately four hundred and fifty years, but it didn’t become a major religion until Christ was sent to Alterra two hundred years ago. Imagine the surprise when the first exploratory team returned from an extended study of our planet with a Bible and reams of notes about Christianity!

Conclusion

As you can see, Altterrans are very much like humans. Alterrans have been coming to earth for decades, and have been nothing but peaceful in doing so. We even share common ground in religion. One Altterran becoming a successful politician, and getting elected President of the United States, does not mean that Alterrans are taking over the planet. If anything, it should be proof to the world that Altterrans are so much like humans, that you would never know the difference, if it weren’t for the skin tone and lack of ears.
